Common questions
A bar's hours, happy hour, or address are wrong. How do I fix it?
Open the bar's detail page in the app and tap the report icon (usually a small flag or "i" icon near the bar name). You can submit a correction with a short note. We review every submission and update the catalog within a few days.
A bar I love isn't in the app. Can I add it?
Yes. Tap the "Issues" tab (or the report flow on any bar page) and submit the bar's name and address. We'll verify and add it on the next catalog update.
How do I delete my account?
From inside the app: open Account Options (the user icon at the top right) → Delete Account → confirm. This permanently removes your profile, ratings, reviews, favorites, friend connections, and submissions. The deletion is immediate and can't be undone.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a password-reset link within a minute. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.
Can I use the app without signing in?
Yes. Browse the catalog, view bars, see the map, and use filters as a guest without creating an account. Sign-in is only required to rate bars, save favorites, and add friends.
How do happy hour countdowns work?
We track each bar's happy hour schedule from their published times. When you open the app, bars with happy hour currently running show a "HH" badge with how many minutes are left. The countdown updates live. If a happy hour is missing or wrong, please submit a correction.
Do you sell my data?
No. We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do friend connections work?
Sign in, set a username, and search for friends by their username on the Friends screen. Send a friend request; once they accept, you'll see each other's ratings on bar detail pages and in the feed.
Is the app free?
Yes — free to download and free to use. No subscription, no premium tier, no ads.
What cities do you cover?
Chicago only, for now. The catalog covers the city of Chicago plus close-in suburbs (Oak Park, Evanston, Cicero, Berwyn, and similar bar-adjacent neighborhoods). If you'd like to see another city covered, let us know.
The app is showing me a blank list. What's wrong?
The "Happy hour now" filter defaults on when you open the app. If it's outside typical happy-hour hours (early morning, late at night), you'll see no bars match. Tap the "Happy hour now" chip at the top of Discover to toggle it off and see the full catalog.
How do you decide which bars are in the catalog?
Every bar is reviewed by a real person — typically a Chicagoan who knows the neighborhood. We exclude businesses that are primarily restaurants, coffee shops, performance venues, hotels, hookah lounges, and the like. The bar has to be a place you can walk into and order a drink as the primary purpose of the visit.
